Good Words About Our Pups |
Here are a few comments from some of our friends regarding the pups they have purchased from us. We have been very pleased with this year's pups and appreciate the feed back we have received.

Tasha and Rogue are WONDERFUL. They have
both stolen my heart...
I introduced her (Tasha) to the two sheep yesterday morning. I took her
into their stall. She stood stock still and let them sniff her face, and then
laid down. Moira started butting her in the face, and Tasha immediately
went into "heads down." I've read about this and heard about it, but
seeing it in person is pretty amazing! Not just that the dog knew to be
submissive, but the sheep knew to be dominant.

TJ is doing great. He is getting adjusted to the alpacas and
llamas. Rogue is a good example for him there -- he
just plops down right in the middle of all of them. TJ let the sheep sniff
him all over, and they didn't bonk him at all. Then he was checking out
the goats, sniffing them all over... Jen Bennett 5-24-01

Rita isn't waiting until 4 months to start working. She stayed with the
babies during the day while the Moms are out with the herd. On Monday she
started patrolling the fences and barking at monsters. She is quite proud
of herself. On Wednesday, Charlie let the babies and Rita go with the herd. Charlie went
up
higher on the mountain and watched. The dogs were incredible. Stayed behind and each took
a side and seemed to
keep everyone together. When they got back Charlie took the dogs to the baby pen to feed
them and went to get the mom's and babies to put in there for the night. Rita got very
upset when she couldn't get to her babies.
Red knows the routine and just waited for everyone to be locked up. Last night the herd
was still in the driveway when I came home. I took my new guide puppy out of the car and
Red and Rita came over to meet her. I
knew Red would leave after he checked her out but I thought Rita might want to stay and
play. Not a chance. After a couple of sniffs she was right back to her babies.
We are really impressed with both dogs but to see an 11 week old work like that is
incredible.
More later,
Sharon

I think you are on the right track with your breeding. They are so strong
and healthy and have a tremendous work ethic.
