Like Drafters? You are going to love Scarlett. Just as with Ziryab, over 50 measurements of Scarlett right down to her hooves were taken to create this accurate, lifelike mare. Hours out in the pasture result in all the wrinkles and veins of a real horse. Anybody can make a wrinkle, but to place them in the right angle with the correct length and depth can only be done by standing next to the real thing. I hope you enjoy having this big girl in your collection!

First photos of sculpture posted Oct. 4, 2006. She is still very much in progress with quite a bit of work still needing to be done on certain areas, such as her shoulders, ears ( basically just slapped on), legs, hooves, etc. I have been working from life out in the pasture with Scarlett as well as from several photos of her that I took. I also am using photos of other draft horses where necessary. One thing that I had an impossible time trying to capture in the photos is that her head is slightly tilted due to the turn and it gives her such a sweet, inquisitive look. Enjoy!
